Obrazovanje:

Diplomirao 1998 na Elektrotehničkom fakultetu u Beogradu. Magistrirao 2000. i doktorirao 2004. godine, na Univerzitetu u Kaliforniji, Santa Barabara.

Interesovanja:

Oblasti stručnog interesovanja i rada su poluprovodnički laseri, fotonska integrisana kola, i optički sistemi za prenos informacija.

Kratka biografija:

Dr Milan Mašanović je diplomirao na Elektrotehničkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu 1998. godine, kao student generacije 93-94, sa prosečnom ocenom 9,78. Magistarske i doktorske studije iz elektrotehnike, usmerenje fotonika, završio je 2000. i 2004. godine, na Odseku za elektrotehniku i kompjuterski inženjering Univerziteta Kalifornije u Santa Barbari (Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of California Santa Barbara, UCSB). U periodu od 2004. do 2011, poslove istraživača obavljao je na Univerzitetu Kalifornije u Santa Barbari, baveći se projektovanjem kompleksnih fotonskih integrisanih kola i optičkih sistema. Od 2009. do danas, dr Mašanović drži nastavu u zvanju honorarnog profesora na predmetima Poluprovodnički laseri, Poluprovodnički laseri 2 i Fotonska integrisana kola na postdiplomskim studijama na Univerzitetu Kalifornije u Santa Barbari. 2005. godine, dr Mašanović je osnovao privatnu kompaniju Freedom Photonics. Kompanija se bavi projektovanjem i proizvodnjom naprednih poluprovodničkih lasera i srodnih fotonskih integrisanih kola za telekomunikacione i senzorske primene.

  • Dr Mašanović je angažovan u svim aspektima rada kompanije Freedom Photoniks, od vođenja razvojnih programa, do rukovođenja kompanijom.
  • Dr. Mašanović je služio kao član ili predsedavajući programskih podkomiteta i komiteta na većem broju konferencija: IEEE Avionics, Fiber Optics and Photonics conference , OSA Integrated Photonics Research, IEEE International Semiconductor Laser Conference, Microwave Photonics Conference i Indium Phosphide and Related Materials Conference.
