Teaching methods
30 hours of lectures + 15 hours of supervised problem classes + 30 hours of seminars in other centres and laboratories, pre-exam by the end of semestre. Approximately 75 hours of personal study and exercise (3 hours per week during semestre, and approximately 30 hours of preparation during exam term).

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:

The course introduces students into engineering of general and specific properties of biomaterials (metals, polymers, cheramics, composites), their exploiting stability, reactions of organism on biomaterials, and selection and construction of biomaterials. During the course, students will be intoduced via seminars into some contemporary experimental researches on biomaterials in other centers in Serbia.

WHY LISTENING THIS COURSE?

Biomaterials is the course which introduces students into biomedical, structural, mechanical, physical and chemical characteristics, methods of characterizations, and applications of biomaterials in medicine and dentistry.
